Locate your AC Evaporator here!
Similar to your AC Condenser, the AC Evaporator is commonly located behind the dash or your console. A refridgerant is pumped through it, and through a complex series of evaporations and condensations, the air in your car is cooled by having its heat absorbed by the AC Evaporator. The part maintains an operating temperature of normally less than 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and if it goes below 32 degrees, moisture that is taken from your compartment can become frozen to the evaporator. There is a switch that connects it to the AC Compressor that can be used to avoid this problem.
